1- How can I determine my correct size for the bracelet?

Here

2- Can I buy just the leather bracelet without the cameo?

The purchase of the bracelet alone, without the cameo, is reserved exclusively for customers who have already purchased Anna Porcu jewelry complete with cameo. You can order it by writing to [email protected]

3- During the online purchase can I buy an extra leather bracelet in addition to the one on which the chosen cameo is mounted?

Yes, once you place the Anna Porcu bracelet complete with cameo in the cart, you will be given the opportunity to add an extra bracelet as well. It is an excellent opportunity to adapt your cameo to different looks.

4 - Can the cameo of a bracelet also be worn on the necklace and vice versa?

The bezel of the bracelets has a horizontal orientation, while the one on the necklaces is vertical, so in order to preserve the correct view of the cameo image it is not possible to exchange them. Pieces, which are carved with flowers or geometric elements instead of scenes on the cameo or on the stone, can adapt well both in a vertical and horizontal pattern.

5- Can I wear the same cameo on a different bracelet color?

Of course, the cameo can be easily removed and placed on one of the various colors of bracelet available.

6 - How should I clean the bezel of my blackened cameo?

Silver and golden silver sometimes tend to oxidize, especially in contact with the leather of bracelets and necklaces. To remedy the blackening of the bezel, it is enough to carefully remove the cameo from the leather bracelet or necklace on which it is mounted and clean it with a soft cloth, specifically made for cleaning silver. It will shine again.

7- Are the cameos antique?

Yes, I work using antique cameos from the 1800s and early 1900s.

8- Are cameos reproducible?

No, my cameo jewelry pieces are unique and one-of-a-kind. However, if you like a specific subject and the cameo that portrays it has already been sold, I will do my best, upon request, to find a similar one but it will NEVER be the same.

9- Can I give you a cameo that I own to be reassembled on design by Anna Porcu?

I often get this question but, unfortunately, the answer is no.
All the cameos that I use in my design were chosen by my eye and my heart. I am sure you do understand!

10 - What are the shipping times and costs?

We do ship from Italy worldwide. Shipping times vary from  4-10 working days. Domestic  and international shipping, except for some countries, are included in the price while import taxes and customes costs are borne by the client. Any customs or import duties are charged once the parcel reaches its destination country. These charges must be paid by the recipient of the parcel. 11 - How should I clean my cameo?

Anna Porcu jewelry is made with original antique cameos from the 19th century. To preserve the patina, we recommend cleaning the cameo simply with lukewarm water, delicately rubbing the surface with an old toothbrush. If you need a more thorough cleaning you can add a drop of shampoo to the water. Dry well with a cotton cloth.

Description

This leather bracelet treasures a great ancient piece with a Pharaoh as the protagonist: sublime example of Egyptian revival. Egyptian revival in jewelry was initiated in those heady days in Paris when Napoleon returned from Egypt (early 19th century) with a treasure trove of design inspiration. The aesthetic was given additional impetus by milestones such as the raising of the Luxor obelisk in the Place de la Concorde in Paris, the building of the Suez Canal, decryption of the Rosetta Stone, and a plethora of other amazing discoveries. The apex of Egyptomania was achieved when Carter located the Tomb of King Tutankhamun in 1922, the frosting on the cake. All this fuel for design inspiration provided jewelers the motivation to create jewels in the Egyptian taste for nearly a century, appeasing the vast appetite for all things Egyptian. This beautiful piece is an example of Egypian revival that, combined with the bracelet leather resilience, want to be my contemporary contribution to this wonderful period of archeological discovery. One of a kind piece totally designed and handmade in Italy.
